Creating a sales funnel to capture prospective new patient

Things are drastically different for so many businesses and dental and orthodontic practices are no exception.  It’s time to change the way we do our practice marketing.  It’s important now more than ever to reach your audience with engaging content, valuable resources and have systems in place to engage with prospective new patients.

Capture their attention with your videos.  Video marketing on social media is a tool that is underused by many practice owners.  You have the opportunity to craft your messages targeting the biggest concerns and obstacles your patients are facing.  Spend a few days listening to the concerns of your patients or create a list of frequently asked questions. Use that as a guide to create content.  These are topics that you can easily speak about in videos.

But helpful information without the next steps and a call to action, is just you being very generous with your time and knowledge.  Use these same areas of concern to create a guide for prospective new patients.  Orthodontists can give a guide of the Top 5 things to consider before tooth movement.  Cosmetic dentists can provide a guide of things to consider before your smile makeover.  Whatever type of practice or speciality you have, you want to provide a free resource to meet the needs of your prospective patients.  This positions you as an expert in your field and serves as a helpful guide to prospective patients.  Offer this download in exchange for their email address, and plan to continue to engage (not spam) with great content!

The marketing goal for most private practices is to drive traffic to their website.  This isn’t bad, there is just a better option!  The top goal should be to capture a way to engage with all prospective patients and have a plan in place to continue to engage.  This is called a sales funnel.  You can have this automated by using software or you can do it on your own.  Either way, the goal is to stay engaged with prospective patients.  They are most interested when they’re looking on the internet, visiting your website or researching treatment options – keep them engaged!   We’ve created a guide to help you implement this in your practice marketing, click here to download our Get Started guide to video marketing.
